Aftercare after IPL treatments

After an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment, it is essential to follow a series of care measures to optimize results and protect the skin.

During the first 24 to 48 hours, it is normal to experience a slight redness or warmth in the treated area.It is therefore recommended to avoid exposure to the sun and to apply broad spectrum sunscreen (SPF 50+) constantly.

It is also important to avoid heat sources such as saunas, steam baths and direct hot water on the treated area for at least 48 hours. The skin should be kept moisturized with mild, alcohol-free products, avoiding exfoliations, retinoids or acids during the following days.

In case of sensitivity or mild inflammation, the following can be applied cold compresses to soothe the skin. By following these recommendations, optimal recovery is favored and the risk of side effects is minimized, achieving a uniform and long-lasting result.
